VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT: EMBASSY OF THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA, THE HAGUE, THE NETHERLANDS
POSITION: Assistant Coordination and Investment Liaison Officer.
The Embassy is looking for a highly qualified and reliable Assistant Coordination and Investment Liaison Officer who will be responsible for coordinating, liaising and providing assistance in general.
REQUIREMENTS: – A University Degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Finance, Business Administration, Social Science, or related fields.
WORK EXPERIENCE: – Two (2) years working experience in Administration, International Organizations or Non-governmental Organizations.
Proven analytical, investment and political research skills is an added advantage.
TACT, DISCRETION AND DIPLOMACY: – Ability to work long hours and under pressure; and demonstrated ability to work with people of different cultural backgrounds, different gender and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity.
Professionalism: – Demonstrated ability to manage processes and maintain accurate records. Ability to work independently and to maintain flexibility in working hours. Knowledge of Diplomacy is an asset.
Planning and Organising: – Demonstrated effective organisational skills and ability to handle work in an efficient and timely manner. Demonstrated ability to coordinate tasks and to meet deadlines.
Teamwork: – Good interpersonal skills; ability to work in a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with counterparts.
Communication: – Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in Dutch and English is essential. Ability to make translation/interpretation is an asset.
Good Computer Skills: – Good knowledge of PC software and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Undertakes research and investment promotion activities as instructed, actively liaise with counterparts.
Acquires knowledge of the political situation and landscape in the country.
Assist in preparing evaluation reports, annual work reports, and update work files.
Attends and interprets meetings into English from Dutch language.
Be responsible for day-to-day Embassy correspondence, information sharing, ensuring that appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
Monitors the media (electronic and print) for political news and prepares summaries for the Embassy.
Translations and interpretations.
Drafts minutes of meetings.
Maintains list of contacts.
Prepares presentations for briefings and,
Performs other duties as required.
